The board of School Governors are key to ensuring the effectiveness of Hook Junior School.
Regular communication from the Governors is shared via the schools existing newlsetters, both weekly and termly.
Working closely with school staff, Governors provide strategic leadership and accountability. They set aims and objectives for the School and the targets for achieving them. Governors set the policies associated with these aims and monitor progress toward their achievement. School Governors act as a sounding board for ideas and second opinion, offer both challenge and support to the school, and hold the school to account for the quality of education it provides.
The Governing Body at Hook Junior School is comprised of the Head Teacher, one Staff Governor, four Parent Governors, six Co-opted Governors and one Local Authority Governor .
The different categories of Governor help to ensure that the Governing Body has sufficient diversity of views and experience. Above all we are here to help the school to provide the best possible education for its pupils.
