Role: Headteacher Governor

My career spans twenty years in education, with ten years as Headteacher. I was seconded to Hook Junior School in January 2008 and successfully and rapidly took the school from ‘notice to improvement’ to ‘good’ in May 2008; since then, the school has continued going from strength to strength.

I began my career at a school in Reading before teaching for four years in Munster, Germany, I then served as Deputy Headteacher and Acting Headteacher at Charles Kinsley’s School in Eversley before taking on headship of Long Sutton Primary School. Finally, I was appointed as Headteacher of Hook Junior School in 2008 and am delighted to have been here since.

In addition to my role at Hook Junior School, I am involved with supporting many other schools with teaching, learning, assessment and leadership and am also at the final stages of training to be an Ofsted inspector which compliments my role as Headteacher.

I am delighted and privileged to lead and work with the children, staff, governors and community of Hook Junior School to ensure that we provide the best in all aspects of education for our children.
