Northern Lights

This term, Year 5 have been studying the Northern Lights. Taking inspiration from the book, Northern Lights, by Phillip Pullman, as well as from breathtaking photographs we created these canvas paintings using acrylic paint.

We carefully mixed the paints to get the exact colours we needed and used a variety of brush techniques such as washing and stippling in order to capture the wonder of the Northern Lights.
