Volunteers from Virgin Media

A team of volunteers from the Virgin Media offices in Hook came to school today to lend a helping hand and undertook a number of jobs around the school grounds.

We would like to extend our thanks to the team of volunteers from the Virgin Media offices in Hook who spent their day at school completing a number of maintenance jobs. The team, led by Jack Casserley of Virgin Media, have cleared the quiet garden of pebbles and set a number of new posts. They have also treated the wooden furniture and planters in around campus, including the courtyard where the gardening club meets each week.

We are encouraged by Virgin Media to take a day each year to help with a local charity or community project. With Hook Junior School right on our doorstep we were delighted to donate a few extra pairs of hands for the day and get stuck in.

The volunteers work in the quiet garden was made possible thanks to B & M Fencing, also located in Hook, who loaned us some additional tools to complete the work.
