Talented Photographers Win

Winning RIBI Young Photographer entry from Hook Junior School

Odiham and Hook Rotary President Howard Swalheim presented certificates and prizes to winners of the 2014-15 Young Photographer competition in school assembly.

Run by the Rotary Club of Britain and Ireland, the Young Photographer competition aims to encourage you people to experiment with digital and traditional photography, interpret a chosen topic and get creative in their expression of ideas through the photographic medium.

The theme for this years’ competition is simply ‘light up the communities’. Children have been tasked with producing a portfolio of three images along with a short written piece explaining their inspiration.

Congratulations to this years’ winners, who each receive a certificate and prize. President Swalheim presented the awards on behalf of the Odiham and Hook Rotary Club.

  • Winner: Lindsay Mai Levey
  • Runner-up: Aoife Bateson-Lang
  • Runner-up: Nadia Brown

The competition is run in three stages and the certificates awarded to children this week form part of stage one. We wish the three school winners the very best of luck in the remaining two stages of the competition.
