Autumn by Emma

I was inspired to write the poem as I had been on lots of walks through the woods during Autumn.
Autumn
- Toasted marshmallows on wooden sticks,
- Icy fingers as hard as bricks,
- It’s bonfire night and shooting rockets,
- Pass by folk with hands in pockets,
- Up above the rustling leaves,
- Scatter down from waving trees,
- An icy wind creates a chill,
- That freezes all the people still,
- The dew is bright, the air is clear,
- It won’t be long till winters here.
