Hush, I stole them from the moon

Taking inspiration from 'Overheard On A Saltmarsh' by Harold Munro, children in Year 4 have been writing their own poetry. These poems have been written by Owen and Sophie using the line 'Hush, I stole them from the moon' as their stimulus.
- Hush I stole them from the moon
- The burning stars do not shine anymore
- Hush I stole them from the moon
- My hand sits in pain
- As I carry the burning stars away
- I stole them from the blue moon, the forest moon, the dark moon
- Hush I stole them from the moon
- The burning stars do not shine anymore
- Hush I stole them from the moon
- The moon that has been captured
- Hush I stole them from the moon!
By Owen
- The Moon
- Trees ripped, the moon split
- There was only a cry of pain
- Coming down the lane
- Hush I stole them from the moon
- A small voice from behind
- A strange spirit loomed
- From around the moon
- Humming an eerie tune
