Babushka

This year’s Christmas production of ‘Babushka’ was performed by children in Year 4 on two consecutive evenings to an audience of parents that filled the school hall.
Children in Year 4 performed the Russian traditional christmas story of Babushka (meaning ‘old woman’ or ‘grandmother’), telling the tale of the central character who learns to value different things in her life.
The whole of Year 4 were involved in the production and have been rehearsing for several weeks to perfect their parts. Some of the leading roles had solo songs, in addition to the group songs, dances and many lines to remember.
The school hall was full on both evenings. If you came to see the Year 4 production, we hope the you enjoyed the show.
Our productions would not be possible without the support of the many parents in helping our cast of children prepare their costumes and rehearse their part. We are grateful to all those who have contributed.
Many staff are involved in the school Christmas production, and we would like to express our gratitude to those who have spent much time preparing the costumes, props and other supporting items required. Special thanks to Mrs Watts, Mrs Hilton and Mrs Huggins for leading and coordinating the production.
