Come Dine with Us at the Top Table

Children who achieve 'Star Of The Week' are invited to have lunch at the Top Table on a Monday lunch time. Offering praise and reward to children in recognition of their efforts and behaviour supports the key aims of Hook Junior School.

As an additional reward for children who have achieved Star Of The Week, each is invited to a 'Come Dine with Me' experience on a Monday lunchtime. Children are formally invited to this special lunch on Friday and will enjoy lunch on Monday at the 'Top Table'. The Top Table is dressed for the occasion, with tablecloth and placements, china plates, place names, safety candles and flowers. A rewarding experience for children to work toward, look forward to and remember.

Miss Smith had lunch with the very first group of children at the Top Table and said “I thoroughly enjoyed having my lunch as part of the Come Dine with Me experience. It was lovely for me and the children to be able to get to know children across the school. There was definitely lots of interest from other children in the hall and I know they will all be working hard to try and become next week’s ‘Star of the Week.’ I hope the children enjoyed the experience as much as I did.”

Stars Of The Week are recognised and celebrated in our Celebration Assembly each Friday, together with their names being shared on the Star Of The Week page of the school website and also on the display in school Reception.
