It’s been a record breaking year for the Hook Schools Parents Association who have raised an incredible £20,000 for the Infant School and Junior School, plus an additional £100 for each class.

Richard Paganuzzi, Chair of the HSPA, presented Mrs Martin and Mrs Walker with a cheque for £20,000 at the Annual General Meeting, accompanied by Treasurer Jayne Weaver.

This year’s total is the direct result of your enthusiastic support for the events the Hook Schools Parents Association (HSPA) organise each year and demonstrates the community commitment to the Infant School and Junior School and the pupils that learn with us. The HSPA, the Infant School and the Junior School are incredibly grateful for your donations, whether they have been made directly to the HSPA or via one of the events that have taken place. These funds will be used to directly improve the learning experiences of children attending both schools.

Funds raised by the Hook School Parents Association are used to directly enhance the learning experiences of children at the Infant and Junior schools. Your donations enable the schools to invest in learning resources that every child will benefit from. These include:

  • text books that support the key aims of the curriculum and help children improve their english, grammar, spelling and maths
  • text and reading books that supplement the topic based activities
  • classroom resources that enable new dimensions of learning through practical activities and the use of technology

The HSPA exists to raise funds for both the Infant School and Junior School in order to improve the learning experiences of all children who attend. A registered charity, the HSPA organises multiple fundraising events each year, including the annual Hook fireworks display and the Summer and Christmas fairs. This year's HSPA Fireshow is taking place on Saturday November 5th in the grounds of the Junior School.

The HSPA is run entirely by volunteers from the local community who either have children attending one or both schools and depends upon the contributions from parents and carers in the community to raise funds that support the learning process in the Infant and Junior schools. If you are interesting in volunteering, the HSPA has plenty of opportunities for you to contribute to the education of local children.
